Indications
Minitek – Microtek is a complete range for the osteosynthesis and reconstruction of the upper two-thirds of the skull. It is indicated particularly for:
- Trauma surgery
- Closure of cranial flaps after neurosurgery
- Orthognathic surgery (maxillary)
Characteristics
- A choice of two self-drilling screw diameters: Ø1.2 mm and Ø1.5 mm
- One screwdriver
- Malleable T40 plates (Grade II Titanium – ISO 5832-2), 0.6 mm thick and with a low-profile plate/screw interface
- A wide choice of plate shapes to cover all indications
- Self-drilling screws with an asymmetrical thread and expanded wings for good primary stability in the bone
- A compact, ergonomic insert for the closure of cranial flaps after neurosurgery
- Colour coding of screws by diameter and associated plates
